Am I covered if I can’t take my pet to Europe?

Following Brexit, your pet will continue to be covered abroad as it is now, but, you may need to allow up to four months for some additional vet checks and documentation before the authorities will allow you to travel with your pet in Europe.  Your travel insurance will not cover cancellation of your holiday due to your pet not being able to travel, so you should ensure you have alternative arrangements such as boarding kennels in case this happens. Any updates will be posted on our dedicated Brexit page. For more information, read our article on travelling abroad with your pet.
